Membership Requirements

  • Open to artists 18+ living or making work in Jersey City and surrounding areas

  • Available to artists working in all disciplines

  • $120/month 

  • Complete orientation prior to your first booking

  • Sweep, remove trash, and send check-out texts at the end of each booking


Meet Our Studio Members!

 

Amber Sloan is a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Choreography Fellow whose work has been presented by Art House Productions, Mana Contemporary, SMUSH Gallery, MeenMoves’ International Women’s Day of Dance at Riverview-Fisk Park, South Orange PAC, Dancing in the Park at Washington Park, and other venues throughout New Jersey and beyond. She serves on the faculty of The Ailey School, performs with The Bang Group, and is the Assistant Executive Director of Arts On Site. Amber received a BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was honored with the Beverly Blossom/Carey Erickson Alumni Dance Award. ambersloan.com | IG @ambersloan.nyc

Nancy Méndez-Booth is a diasporican writer/artist/performer and educator. Winner of the JC Arts Council 2020 Literary Arts award. Work has appeared in print and online, including Poets & Writers and Salon. Performed at venues including Cornelia Street Cafe and The Moth. (StorySLAM winner; select performances can be viewed on YouTube.) Alum of Rutgers-Newark (MFA, MA), Amherst College (BA), and recipient of residencies to Vermont Studio Center, Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, Blue Mountain Center, and NJ Women Playwrights Program. Currently developing a play with support from The New Jersey Play Lab and is writing a nonfiction manuscript, This Boricua Life: Part 1.
